Flawless Skin Protection Mist | La Maison

No, I won’t be putting up beauty tutorial videos on YouTube anytime soon or in the near future. A dedicated food blog, I find it quite a challenge to cover non-food events but would daresay have killed it on some crossovers to fashion, skincare products and a guest post on The PussyKat’s blog. Good thing there’s always a buffet for an angle.

The invite to The Flawless White Mist Party at La Maison Rose called for White Chic. I started out pristine head-to-toe until I realized that my grandfather’s genetic contributions made me look two weeks into a month of mourning. Effortless, as usual, The PussyKat came in her go-to Jul Oliva X Oia Krila.

The sea of white in attendance glowed pink from the LED-glow garden sets, the skincare brands collaterals and from the flowing Lhullier-brand Peach Sparkling Wine. The intimate dinner party for local bloggers was held to unveil their latest offering in time for summer with two of their endorsers from the Philippine National Rugby Team, the Philippine Volcanos. It began to feel like I lost my way into a hen party when they called out Andrew Wolfe and Harry Morris to squeals of adulation. I thought I’d chug an entire tub of whey protein when I got home then in hopes I’d come close to even just making it to whatever category Taal is in. Then again, there’s always the fallback of joining one of the local “Minor” League “Rugby” Teams. Of. Course. I’m. Just. Kidding.

Not just for summer and the outdoors, Forever Flawless Face and Body Center, Inc. formulated an efficient sunscreen ideal for daily use — Flawless Skin Protection Mist. Formulated at a high SPF 70, it is still lightweight, sheer, non-comedogenic and is highly specialized for tropical conditions with not just UVA but UVB ray protection, as well. Application is made easier through a revolutionary spray canister which allows application at any angle for maximum coverage.

After Q&A and some audience participation hijinks, dinner was served. I started with Poisson Bass Poêlés Auxs Herbes En Crème. Thick, moist and flaky fillets of Bass were seared skin-side then smothered in Herbed Cream. I’m a big fan of big fish and loved how they filleted those skins-on in an aile pauvres treatment of only plain salt and pepper giving way to the naturally sweet-fish flavor and the rich sauce.

I piled on the Papillote De Poulet En Beurre Blanc A La Vannille with some steamed vegetables. The chicken took up the flavors of the stock and herbs and was steamed en papillote to an incredible tenderness matched by the subtly vanilla scented buttercream sauce. Steamed Baby Carrots, Asparagus, Broccolli and Cauliflower, and the surprisingly melon-like Chayote gave the assembly some fibrous contrast.

A simple dessert trio capped the meal. Gateau Au Chocolat Avec Ganache Et Crème Au Beurre D’orange translated to a spongy chocolate cake with gooey ganache between a twin-layer and frosted with orange buttercream. Very light and milky Crème Brulée sat under a very thin film of torch-caramelized sugar. Plain Vanilla Meringues were unremarkable but went down easy.

I’m a frecklesnoot. Endless summers and what used to be a pretty active outdoor lifestyle left me with spots which I turned to lemonade with the foolish idea those somehow gave me the Archie comic character appeal. Alas, raging teenage hormones paired these photo pigmentations with cystic acne vying for every square inch of prime real estate on my face. Some significant work with a dermatologist had me winning the war against zits and the spots were mechano-chemically faded.

It was in a more in-depth scan that underlying sun damage was revealed. Star Trek lasers took care of that but not my doctor’s maternal nagging to slather on sunscreen. Sure thing. Prevention is always cheaper than the cure. I’ve already put in the time, money, effort and countless Hail Mary’s through some torturous procedures but I’ve also always hated having to cosplay an oil spill on a daily basis.

Flawless Spray Protect Mist Pornografeed Best Cebu Blogs Awards Best Food Blog 2014Flawless Skin Protection Mist had none of the kabuki face paint look and feel. Application was a lot like a generous dousing of spray perfume and didn’t require much more manual working onto the skin. Definitely no hot and sticky feeling. Best of all, it doesn’t go runny with sweat like most typical lotions and oils. #SprayProtectPlay your way into a #FlawlessSummer! I know I will.

Ah, summer. The season of sand, sun and fun has finally come. Spontaneous road trips, exciting beach getaways, sizzling by-the-shore shindigs and a possible sunlit romance await you. With these alluring sun-drenched promises, we can’t help but ask: Is your skin protected?

Exposure to ultraviolet rays is inevitable, even if you hide indoors. Yes, some lights we commonly use emit UV radiation that leads to skin damages. That’s why Flawless brings you an efficient sunscreen ideal for everyday use—Flawless Skin Protect Mist.

Formulated with a high SPF 70, Flawless Skin Protect Mist (as determined through an international In Vitro Evaluation) effectively shields skin from UVA and UVB rays. Its canister, which comes in Flawless’ signature pink, features a 360-degree spray system that allows continuous delivery of skin protection and can be applied in any direction; be it horizontally, vertically, diagonally or even upside-down.

The fine mist leaves a light and soothing feel with no white residues—perfect for the person on the go. It suits the active lifestyles of Andrew Wolff, Gaz Holgate, Chris Evingham and Harry Morris of the Philippine National Rugby Team, who are always outdoor training and playing. And for “IT” couple, Victor Basa and Divine Lee, both dynamic urbanites with various work and social commitments, Flawless Skin Protect Mist gets them covered all the time.

    • Been almost a week. Pretty lightweight. It all rests on how heavy your trigger finger is. I spray it on like perfume then give it a little swipe to even it out. I’m pretty much out and about and I apply only in the morning. While Matte Damon would be your ideal, this one gives you a bit of a Charlie Sheen. Just a bit though. You’d look like you came from a seaside holiday.
